20 Wedding Send Off Ideas
What is a wedding send off?
A wedding send-off is a tradition that takes place at the end of a wedding reception. It is a way for the couple to say goodbye to their guests and to officially start their new life together.
Traditionally, the send-off takes place outside the venue, where the couple is showered with rice, birdseed, or confetti. The couple then departs in a car, often decorated with balloons or streamers.
In recent years, there have been many creative variations on the traditional wedding send-off. Some couples have been known to leave in a hot air balloon, a helicopter, or even a horse-drawn carriage. Others have opted for a more intimate send-off, such as a walk hand-in-hand down the beach or a picnic in the park.
No matter how it is done, a wedding send-off is a special way for the couple to mark the end of their wedding day and to begin their new life together.

What if I don’t want to book coverage for my photographer or videographer to stay until the send off?
The best alternative I suggest for this would be to do a grand entrance after the ceremony and before the luncheon/dinner or when entering into the reception and then incorporate one of the send off ideas into an entrance idea, then you get the photos and you don’t have to keep your vendors booked through the whole dance party portion of the reception.
