VOW RENEWAL. MARCH 06, 2023 | ROME ITALY
How to Plan the perfect Italian Vow renewal | Hayley + Jared
I'm so excited to share mine and my hubby Jareds 2 year vow renewal in Rome Italy. The experience was unreal and I learned so much about the planning experience of not only planning a vow renewal but more specifically in Italy.
Planning the perfect Italian elopement or vow renewal can be a daunting task, but it doesn't have to be. Here are a few tips to help you get started:
Choose the perfect location. Italy is a beautiful country with many different regions to choose from. Consider what kind of atmosphere you're looking for and where you'd like to get married. Some popular elopement destinations in Italy include:
Tuscany: Tuscany is a popular region for elopements because of its rolling hills, vineyards, and picturesque villages.
Amalfi Coast: The Amalfi Coast is known for its dramatic coastline, stunning beaches, and charming towns.
Cinque Terre: Cinque Terre is a group of five colorful villages that cling to the cliffs of the Italian Riviera.
Venice: Venice is a unique city with canals and bridges instead of streets. It's a romantic setting for an elopement.
Rome: Rome is a historic city with ancient ruins, iconic landmarks, and vibrant culture. It's a great place to elope if you're looking for a city elopement.
Decide on a budget. Elopements can be very affordable, but it's important to set a budget and stick to it. Consider the cost of travel, accommodation, food, activities, and wedding expenses.
Hire a wedding planner or decide if you are doing it yourself. A wedding planner can help you with all aspects of your elopement, from choosing a location to booking vendors. They can also help you stay on budget and ensure that everything runs smoothly on your wedding day. If you are doing more of a symbolic intimate ceremony then it is much more doable on your own.
Book your flights and accommodation. Once you've chosen a location and a date, be sure to book your flights and accommodation as soon as possible. This is especially important if you're eloping during peak season.
Choose your vendors. You'll need to book a photographer, officiant, and any other vendors you need for your elopement. Be sure to do your research and choose vendors who have experience with destination elopements.
Plan your wedding day. Once you've booked your vendors, you can start planning your wedding day. This includes creating a timeline, choosing your wedding attire, and writing your vows.
Relax and enjoy your day! The most important thing is to relax and enjoy your wedding day. You're eloping because you want to focus on your love for each other, so don't stress about the small details.
Here are some additional tips for planning the perfect Italian elopement:
Consider the time of year. Italy has a Mediterranean climate, with hot, dry summers and mild, wet winters. The best time to elope to Italy depends on your personal preferences. If you're looking for warm weather, consider eloping during the summer months. However, keep in mind that summer is also the peak tourist season, so prices will be higher and you'll likely encounter more crowds. If you're looking for cooler weather and fewer crowds, consider eloping during the shoulder season (spring or fall) or the winter.
Learn a few basic Italian phrases. This will help you communicate with locals and make your elopement experience more enjoyable.
Be prepared for delays. Things don't always run on time in Italy, so be prepared for delays, especially when traveling.
Pack for all types of weather. Even if you're eloping during the summer, it's a good idea to pack a jacket and umbrella, just in case.
Have fun! Elopements are a special and unique experience, so make sure to relax and enjoy your day.
