It was so good meeting Melissa and Jared in their first home together. They are both excited to start this new chapter in their lives, and they wanted to commemorate it with a couples photo session in their new space. It was so cute as I walked up to the house and one of their little cats was hanging in a cat hammock on their window. I just about melted it was so cute, the house was also so beautifully decorated, and so cozy and inviting.

I started the session by taking some photos of Melissa and Jared around the house. We captured them in their living room, kitchen, and bedroom. They were so comfortable in their own space, and it made it so easy for them to be themselves and for me to be able to document what their life really feels like.

It was an honor to capture these moments for them. They told me how much these photos meant to them in telling their story and commemorating their first house and all the work they put into the house. Jared even built Melissa a built in book shelf for her to store all of her books in their reading room. They are seriously such an amazing couple and it was such a beautiful session.

I am so grateful to Melissa and Jared for inviting me into their home to capture their love story. It was a beautiful and intimate session, and I know they will cherish the memories of it forever.

• Choose spots in your house that have good lighting and that is meaningful to you.

• Interact with each other naturally.

• Think of activities you can do together like make cookies, or playing with your pets.

• Don't be afraid to get creative and try new things.

• Most importantly, have fun and enjoy the session!
