Sand Dune Engagement Photos | Rexie + Danny

The Sand dunes are such a magical place. I grew up going to the Utah sand dunes every summer to go camping and think that it is just one of the most amazing places. Even better, there are sand dunes that dot the map all over the world. The Sand dunes are the perfect back drop for a sand dunes wedding or elopement because of the iconic white sands, sunsets and dreamy desert landscape.

Rexie and Danny have a love unlike any other that I have ever seen, It is calm, it is quiet, it is special.

I was able to capture Danny and Rexie’s wedding as well and it was such a beautiful boho inspired day. The sand dunes seemed like a perfect location to capture their fun and adventurous personalities. This was the first time Rexie had been to the sand dunes and Danny had been here many times, It was so fun for Danny to be able to show and share this beautiful location with Rexie.

If you are thinking of having a sand dunes wedding here are a few things to help in planning:

• Check to see what kinds of recreation is done (like four wheeling) and see when busy times and locations are

• See about renting a side by side to save time walking to a location

• Bring lots of water since it’s a desert and normally you will do walking

• Check into permits for photography and a weddings/gatherings

• Consider renting a camping spot (usually only $25 per spot per day) and setting up an intimate wedding meal and cutting cake and popping a bottle of champagne

One of the most beautiful things for me as a photographer is seeing my couples experience memories, moments and being able to document it. It is now that deserves to be documented, now the deserves to be remembered, now is the time to live in the moment and let me be the one to tell your story.
