WEDDING. AUGUST 5th, 2022 | Cai-Peng and Matthew
Bountiful Utah Temple Wedding
This is what I picture when I think of warm summer weddings. Cai-Peng and Matthew’s day was very special for them and filled with many special family members. One special person that was there was Cai-Peng’s Uncle. Cai-Peng is from Taiwan and wasn’t able to have her family there except her uncle, who was also able to meet her two boys for the first time. It was a very long awaited moment. They got married in the Bountiful Utah Temple and then later had their reception at The Grand Ballroom.
One of the highlights of their day was their bubble send off. It was so much fun for all of the guests and it was a perfect send off alternative to doing it at night with sparklers. If you are planning a wedding and looking for eco friendly or send off alternatives check out my guides on these.
The bubbles that were used in their send off are found here and 20 more eco friendly send off ideas are found here.
First Look
I often have couples like Cai-Peng and Matthew who the idea of a first look isn’t what they are looking for, in this case it made more sense to them to do a first look with their two children. The boys loved seeing their parents like this and it was a very memorable moment for them. Here are more ideas for alternatives to first looks with your partner.
The Reception and Ring Ceremony
Let’s eat CAKE… or Cheesecake?
The number one thing that I tell all of my couples when they are planning their wedding is to go with their gut on what they like and what is going to make them happy. There is no sense, in my opinion, to spend lots of money on something that you aren’t going to enjoy.
Cai-Peng and Matthew opted to go with cheesecake instead of cake which is a dessert that they both love and was a perfect solution for none cake loving people. Here is a guide I have made of cake alternatives!
